South Wales Kayak Anglers are pleased to announce that Palm Equipment and Escape Watersports are collaborating in sponsoring the 2014 Oxwich Kayak fishing competition, this is the 5th year that competition has been run and all profits go to the RNLI and have raised in excess of £5000 for them to date.
This is a friendly and fun Competition with good prizes to be won. The organisers have been overwhelmed with interest for the competition this year which will allow for a great prize list including –
1st prize- voucher for £1000 Palm brand of gear
2nd prize – Custom Tarpon yak (£700)
3rd Prize – £250 voucher Palm brand gear
In addition there is a Raymarine Dragonfly 7 together with rods, reels, paddles and much more.
The Competition is held in Oxwich bay on the Gower peninsular, an area renowned for its natural beauty. The event will be fished on Saturday 19th July 2014, with sign in from 7.30 in the grounds of Oxwich Bay Hotel. This is a catch and release competition and a camera or phone that takes a good photo is essential.
Entry is £10 per angler. Only one angler per Kayak and anglers must be over 18 to enter. Only one prize per angler, the committee’s decision is final.
All entrants must have a PFD and also a VHF/MOBILE PHONE. Bait will be available on the beach from Mainwarings Tackle please book in advance to avoid disappointment, 01792 202245
