Simon Perkins and his wife were fly fishing with friend / guide Dean Whaanga in New Zealand when a combination of bad weather and good timing resulted in a fish giving them the experience of a lifetime. He crawled on his stomach with the camera to the waters edge, hit record, and watched what was one of the coolest moments he has ever witnessed.

Each spring, millions of garfish make their way into the Baltic Sea to spawn. Along the way, they school in the shallow waters of Danish coastline, where anglers can enjoy several weeks of fantastic fishing. These interesting looking fish have an elongated bony mouth, so it is quite difficult to keep them on the hook. This clip demonstrates how frustrating this can be.
